Section 4. Handwr itten Letters 126 127 Mai lbox of Peace Korea Foundation & US Peace Corps KF COVID-19 Survival Box Gratitude Letter Col lection I came to Korea in 1967 as a member of K-6 having just graduated with a degree in occupational therapy. I worked initially in a rural health service for six months in Chung Cheong Nan Do where I was welcomed and made many friends. I learned however that I might be the only trained occupational therapist in Korea and I moved to Seoul to work at Sam Yook Rehabilitation Centre with children who had a disability and had been orphaned. <omit> I have lived in Hong Kong since I left Korea 50 years ago! I brought my grown daughter, also a Hong Konger, on the Revisit program in 2010 during which time I was able share with her the amazing learning I gained as a young person in Korea. Thanks to the Korea Foundation for that memorable experience. I send my highest appreciation of your thoughtful gift of the COVID-19 Survival Box. <omit> Our time in Korea shaped us as people. “Our time in Korea shaped us as people” Kit Sinclair, K-6 Kit Sinclair Many thanks for your leadership and hard work in creating the Korea Foundation’s COVID-19 Survival Boxes for those of us who served in Peace Corps Korea. It was not only fun to open and see all the gifts, but the masks are invaluable in these difficult times. Korea Foundation does such wonderful work! “Korea Foundation does such wonderful work!” Cynthia Lavenda , K - 38 Cynthia Lavenda
