Mailbox of peace

Section 4. Handwr itten Letters 124 125 Mai lbox of Peace Korea Foundation & US Peace Corps KF COVID-19 Survival Box Gratitude Letter Col lection To my utter delight the Korea Foundation sent former Peace Corps volunteers a "KF COVID-19 Survival Box" full of Korean mementos: silver chopsticks, skin care products, candy, etc. and 100 Korean Covid masks! I'm so proud of how my adopted country managed their Covid crisis. My life's blessings are not complete without my children's happiness and health. Irene lives nearby. She changed jobs to educational sales during the pandemic. We get together for walks and occasional outside meals when the temp is over 50. She still doesn't love Boston, but is glad to be near family. Mia and Paul continue to enjoy Buffalo. Mia has had a frustrating experience teaching in an ever-changing environment. Due to the recent spike, school is once again remote. She and Paul are working full-time plus managing home school for Oliver(6) and Eliza(3) in a four family pod. The kids are thriving! Victoria and Jacy made the most of the summer quarantine by kayaking a lot. Victoria put together the annual summer day camp for the neighborhood children (35+) with Covid precautions in place. (Drumming instead of singing, etc.) Milo(12) prefers his remote classes, while Emily (8) is back in school in a hybrid format. <omit> “I'm so proud of how my adopted country managed their Covid crisis” Donna Treece, K-29 This Christmas my advent candles shine brightly for hope, peace, joy and love.
