Happiness & Hope Mai lbox of Peace 042 043 Korea Foundation & US Peace Corps KF COVID-19 Survival Box Gratitude Letter Col lection The kindness and generosity on the part of Korea Foundation touched my heart and lifted my spirits at just the right time . I was overwhelmed as I opened the box , saw the beautiful selection of items , and watched the video . Thoughts of the years that I lived in Korea came flooding back , and I was re- minded of the kindness and love with which I was treated . There is nothing I am more thankful for than my Peace Corps service in Korea . I am honored to have had the opportunity and good fortune to have lived and worked there . When I compare my Peace Corps - Korea experience with the experiences of friends who served in other countries , they are amazed at the way in which I and other Volunteers were treated and the importance that Korea placed on Peace Corps programs . The COVID - 19 Survival Box reminded me again of how very lucky I was to have served in Korea . I wish you all the best as we continue to work together for peace and good health throughout the world . I was overwhelmed when I opened the box and one - by - one took out the contents . Some items are so important ; some items are fun . I have shared some of the masks with family and friends . However , I have not shared the Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee mix ! The box reminded me of the wonderful Koreans I lived and worked with during my Peace Corps service as a K - 6 volunteer . I have had many moments of nostalgia thinking of those times . Therefore , I should not be surprised by your very generous and thoughtful gifts . Often people have generous thoughts but do not act upon those thoughts . Your box is a tangible testimony of your kindness . Please accept my gratitude toward you and your staff .
