Section 4. Handwr itten Letters 132 133 Mai lbox of Peace Korea Foundation & US Peace Corps KF COVID-19 Survival Box Gratitude Letter Col lection “I still consider as my second home” Franklin Axel, K-6 I take this opportunity to thank you, most sincerely from the bottom of my heart, For the generous COVID-19 Survival Box which I received last month. It was a big surprise, and one which arrived at the right time with the most useful Items, especially the face masks and gloves, and the additional gifts of coffee, Insam Cha, chop sticks and ginseng candies with a most useful back- pack ! This generous gift only reinforces my special love for the Korean people, and even the small village Where I lived for two years which, even 50 years later, I still consider as my second home. I have come back many times for business and pleasure, always reserving time to visit with the Children of the family I lived with, and who now have their own grown children. The two years I spent in a small village in Chung'nam-Do was the most impressive time of my life experiences. It was my pleasure to contribute something of value in 1968-69 to record keeping and medical treatment for tuberculosis in the rural countryside, and to make such a loving connection not only with my host family but also with other friends who remain very important to me still today. Thank you, Thank you for your kindness and your care in these terrible times of disease pandemic. Please stay well and healthy. My family wish and hope that you had a meaningful Holiday and we wish you and your family a Healthy, Happy and successful New Year 2021. Sincerely yours, Frank Axel
